Whether it’s an epic or an anecdote, an old snapshot or a photoshoot, sharing how libraries have enriched your life helps us enrich libraries. Your stories and photos help us raise the funds that keep VPL resilient, adaptable, and extraordinary.
When someone reads about what the library has meant to you and learns how it has connected you, supported you, or changed something in your life, it can inspire them to give.
1
Use the link below to share your library experience in your own words. There are no wrong answers and no minimum length.
2
A sentence or two is just as valuable as a longer reflection. We would also love to speak with you! Please indicate if you’d like to connect with someone from our team for a conversation.
You decide how you are identified. Most people share their first name only. Others prefer a different name, changed details, or to remain anonymous. Whatever you are comfortable with works for us.
You also decide where your story can be used, whether that’s in print materials only, at events, in social media, or all of the above.
You are not just giving your time. You are giving your library, and the thousands who use it, a brighter future, and we are so grateful.
