Libraries are changing. No longer just a room full of books with card files but a place where you can explore technology.
Along with the invasion of iPads, smartphones and websites has come a new program to guide parents and kids through the technological jungle. Not all parents are equipped or can afford today’s technology, so VPL has installed several iPads for public use in the children’s area at its central branch so parents and kids can try them out.
Apps for Your Little Ones is where parents can come to learn from experts and share tips. This fun and creative program will teach parents how to read and play with their children using apps while at the same time support the development of their child’s early literacy skills.
